Q: Why is American Home Shield providing a Contractor Quality Bonus Program?
A: It’s simple – we value the customer service you provide, and we believe top quality work and customer service should be rewarded.
Q: What’s the total payout?
A: The Contractor Quality Bonus Program has set aside $1.2 million for top performers.
Q: How long does the program run?
A: The program is a 12-month scoring timeframe of January through December 2011 to calculate NPS.
Q: What can I do to improve my chances for getting a bonus?
A: It’s all about the quality of customer service! Keep delivering great service, keep your NPS high, and you could be in position for a Big Score!

Q: What’s the difference between The Big Score (NPS) and the Quality Combo Bonus?
A: There are two ways to earn a bonus. The NPS Bonus is a $25,000 bonus awarded to the contractor with the highest NPS score in each of six trade categories (appliances, electrical, garage doors, HVAC, plumbing, or pool/spa).
The Quality Combo Bonus also organizes contractors according to the six trade categories and ranks them by their NPS scores. However, payouts range from $2,500 to $15,000 depending on their 2011 AHS service work order volume.
Q: How many contractors will earn a $25,000 bonus?
A: Up to six.
Q: How many contractors will earn a Quality Combo Bonus?
A: The Quality Combo Bonus has a unique number of bonuses available to top performers. Up to 180 contractors can earn a Quality Combo Bonus.
Q: Who’s eligible to collect a bonus?
A: Contractors must meet a number of minimum qualifications, which you can find here.
Q: Can a contractor earn a NPS Bonus and Quality Combo Bonus?
A: Sorry, but no. Contractors can win either the NPS Bonus OR the Quality Combo Bonus, but not both. (NOTE: Earning the bigger NPS Bonus instantly disqualifies you from earning the Quality Combo Bonus.)
Q: Can a contractor earn a Quality Combo Bonus in multiple trade categories?
A: No. But if you are a contractor with multiple AHS vendor accounts, you will have the opportunity to achieve one bonus for all combined accounts that qualify for a payout within each trade. However, you cannot earn a separate bonus for each trade category.
Q: Can I share the bonus with my employees?
A: Of course! What a great way to motivate! Or keep it for yourself. Or reinvest it in your business. It’s entirely up to you.
